A new star was born in Kaposvár! Harry Allen became the Pony Jumping European Champion in 2017 ahead of Kate Derwin (IRL) and Cora Hirn (SWE).
The german rider won the Freestyle to music competition ahead of two danish girls, becoming a three-times European Champion in Hungary.
In the show jumping phase of eventing nothing could compromise the leader position of France. With 2 fences down and a time fault they were still in safe and won their team gold in Kaposvár. The individual title went to Georgina Herrling (GBR). Saffron Osborne (GBR) came up to the silver medal position, Liloi Lourde Rocheblave (FRA) finished third with one fence down.
The German Team's two riders completed with medals in the FEI Pony European Championships Dressage individual competition. Lucie-Anouk Baumgürtel and Zink Massimiliano FH earned the title with and impressive 77,366% result.
After three rounds of show-jumping the Irish team won with an absolutely fantastic result of 4 penalty points. Great-Britain came second before the Netherlands.
Lucie-Anouk Baumgürtel (GER) is in the lead after the first day of dressage individual test with 77,366%. followed by Louise Christensen (DEN) 76,195 and Marten Luiten (NED) 73,268.
Pierre Le Goupil's cross country course proved to be quite influential. Especially 15a/b - 2 narrow triple brushes after a drop - coused some difficulties. Altogether 10 were finished with no further penalties, 7 were eliminated, 1 refused.
After a very exciting finish, the German squad won the Dressage Team Gold with 220,103 points. The silver medal went to Denmark (217,744) Great-Britain (213,154) finished on the bronz-medal position.
Eventing dressage has been completed. British rider on the top of the leaderboard, followed by two French. Anna Lena Schaaf's pony was sadly withdrawn before dressage.

Due to a heavy rain and storm the Dressage Team Competition was interrupted and will resume tomorrow after the eventing dressage at 18:45. The current standing: 1. Germany 2. Denmark 3. Great-Britain.
Eventing measuring and horse inspection has been completed, all the ponies were accepted.

20 nations, 162 riders, thousands of fans made the Opening Ceremony unforgattable. Lajos Kassai horse archery show and the Children Choir of Marosszék gave a special atmosphere to the night but most af all the joy and fun of children stole the show.
All the ponies were accepted and can start competing tomorrow morning at 8,00.
After the first dressage day Germany took the lead (144,693) ahead of Denmark (143,513) and Great-Britain (138,667). To be continued tomorrow at 14.15!

List of participants in dressage, jumping and eventing are available. With definite entries 20 nations (including the newcomer Portugal) 65 dressage riders, 53 jumping riders and 43 eventing riders were announced.
After the closing date of the nominated entries 19 nations, 45 eventing, 67 dressage and 53 jumping riders were entered with 165 ponies.
After his 24th April visit, Pierre le Goupil (FRA) CD of Eventing Championships reported about the preparations of the x-country course.
The warming-up area is under reconstruction. New, sandy track has been made from the stable area to the warming-up and competitions courses.
